Typografische Monatsblätter (TM, French Revue suisse de l’imprimerie, RSI , English Swiss Typographic Magazine, STM ) was a Swiss specialist magazine for typography , writing , design and language with an international reputation. The Typographische Monatsblätter is one of the most important journals to successfully disseminate the phenomenon of “Swiss typography” to an international audience. With more than 70 years in existence, the journal witnessed significant moments in the history of typography and graphic design. Die Typografischen Monatsblätter (TM, französisch Revue suisse de l’imprimerie, RSI, englisch Swiss Typographic Magazine, STM) waren eine schweizerische Fachzeitschrift für Typografie, Schrift, Gestaltung und Sprache von internationaler Ausstrahlung. Sie erschienen seit 1933 und hatten ab 1948 neben dem deutschsprachigen auch einen französischsprachigen Teil; oft enthielten die Ausgaben auch englischsprachige Inhalte. In his cover series for the Typografische Monatsblätter in 1977, Hans-Rudolf Lutz (1939–1998) illustrates the manipulative power of graphic design.
